After departing Cing Jing, we headed for Alishan. The bullet train ride was a new experience. Smooth and fast. Hopefully we'll get to see one of these in our local shores within our lifetime. Fingers crossed...
We were late for the only train ride up to Alishan, so we had no choice but to take a cab. But be warned, it is really expensive and the journey took us a rough 2+ hours to reach our hostel at Alishan. We checked in & took a stroll around the small community. The weather was wet, misty & cold.....great weather if you pair it with a hot cup of coffee ...=^^=

Links to the rest of my Taiwan photos:Met a really nice couple when waiting for dinner at "The Great Beauty of Rihchu". They were travellers themselves, choosing to roam around Taiwan in their caravan home. The restaurant itself was really well decorated and the food was also good. Definitely comes highly recommended if you visit Alishan.
